Diane is honest, passionate, and patient. In my 4+ years of study with her, she believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. She navigated me through the insecurities and unknowns of my voice. Studying voice during adolescence is an incredibly vulnerable experience, but to have a teacher like Diane by my side made me stand taller and more confident than I ever stood in my life.

Diane was my voice teacher from 2006-2009, and set the foundation for my singing career today. Her expertise, patience, and vocal knowledge helped me bridge the gap between my boy soprano and baritone voices. She not only provided guidance with my singing, but also with the beginning of my musical career. Diane was an integral part of my college audition process that saw me be accepted into the Peabody Conservatory, Westminster Choir College, the College-Conservatory of Music at Cincinnati, among others. Without her guidance from day one, I highly doubt I would be performing where I am today.

I started taking voice lessons with Diane at age thirteen, and I studied with her up until I left for college. She helped me lay the foundation for my collegiate career as well as for my professional career, and she instilled in me the discipline and love of the craft necessary to succeed in this field.

Diane is an EXCELLENT teacher! I came to her as a Junior in high school in 2007 hoping to take my budding operatic-soprano voice to the next level in order to prepare well for college auditions. She not only taught me great vocal technique, she gave me pointers about the career of opera and pointed me in the right direction. She helped me get into some of the best music schools in the country, including my alma mater Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music! I am a professional opera singer still to this day, and I wouldn't be here without the helpful teaching of Diane Fox.
